Voluntary Benefits
Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity coverage are available to you, your spouse, and your dependent children. However, employees must have coverage in order for their spouse and children to obtain coverage.
Voluntary Benefits are just that, voluntary. The costs for voluntary benefits are 100% paid by the employee.
Voluntary Accident Insurance
Cigna’s Accidental Injury insurance pays you or your designee for treatments or injuries resulting from a covered accident. It can help you pay for expenses while you’re recovering from an accident such as rehabilitation, transportation, childcare, travel or other out-of-pocket expenses that are not covered by your primary health insurance.
Coverage is available for employee, spouse and children to age 26.
Voluntary Critical Illness Insurance
Cigna’s Critical Illness insurance provides you, or your designee, with a lump-sum payment to use as you see fit when you are diagnosed with a covered critical illness or specified disease condition. Aside from copays and out-of-pocket medical expenses, it can help you pay for travel to see a specialist, room and board, transportation, childcare, and alternative treatments just to name a few.
Coverage is available for employee, spouse and children to age 26.
Voluntary Hospital Indemnity Insurance
With Cigna’s Hospital Care insurance, benefits are paid after a qualified hospitalization resulting from a covered injury or illness. You can use the money however you’d like and can help you pay for expenses such as childcare, travel, or other out-of-pocket expenses.
Coverage is available for employee, spouse and children to age 26.
Voluntary Pet Insurance
Pets are like family, and with pet insurance you give yourself the freedom to focus on your pet’s health instead of how to pay for it.
Dogs, cats, birds and exotics are all covered under the Nationwide Pet Protection plan.
There are two plans to choose from that allow you to use any vet, anywhere.
